GS Art Zone respects copyright, both our own and everyone else’s. This page explains what you may do with the material on this site, and how to tell us if you believe something here infringes your rights.
Our Content
The articles, tutorials, illustrations, step diagrams, photographs, and design of gsartzone.com are our copyright unless stated otherwise on the page itself.
What you may do without asking
- Use any technique or method taught here to make your own artwork, including artwork you sell. Skills belong to whoever learns them.
- Link to any page on this site, from anywhere, including social media and Pinterest.
- Quote a short passage in a review, article, or class handout, with a visible credit to GS Art Zone and a link to the original page.
- Print an article for your own personal reference while you draw.
What needs written permission
- Republishing an article, in whole or in substantial part, on another website, blog, or forum
- Reusing our illustrations or step-image sequences anywhere, including in videos, slide decks, courses, or printed material
- Translating our articles into another language and publishing them
- Including our content in a paid product, course, or membership
- Feeding the site into a service that republishes rewritten versions of it
Permission requests are usually straightforward. Email gsartzone7@gmail.com, say which material you want and where it will appear, and we will reply.
If You Believe We Have Infringed Your Copyright
We publish a large number of images, and we take claims seriously. If you own the rights to material published on this site and it appears without your permission, tell us and we will investigate promptly. In clear cases we remove the material first and discuss it afterwards.
How to send a takedown notice
Send an email to gsartzone7@gmail.com with the subject line “Copyright Notice”, including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed
- The exact URL or URLs on gsartzone.com where the material appears, and enough description to let us find it
- Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
We aim to acknowledge notices within a few working days. A complete notice is dealt with faster than a partial one, so please include all six items.
Counter-notice
If material of yours was removed from this site and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Include the material that was removed, the location where it appeared, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was an error, and your signature.
Repeat Infringers
We remove comments and submissions that infringe copyright, and we block contributors who do so repeatedly.
If Someone Has Copied Our Work
If you find our articles or illustrations republished elsewhere without credit, we would be glad to hear about it. Send the URL to gsartzone7@gmail.com.
This page should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
